About the Center
The Clinical Data Center collects real-world data from the various teaching, clinical and operations of the TMU and its three hospitals. The data are connected with open data from the government to establish integrated data governance and scientific visualization insights, and provide a diversified and integrated cloud-based, big data ecosystem. The staff of TMU and its affiliated hospitals can use the clinical data, claims data and registered data as a control arm for clinical trial data to cooperate with clinical trial precision medicine, strengthen research collaboration with domestic and foreign biomedical industries. This ultimately improves the quality of Taiwan's medical treatment and facilitates improvement in the medical industry.
Since February 2016, Taipei Medical University opened up application for research database in the Research Information Section of the Office of Information Technology. In August 2019, it was re-assigned to the Office of Data Science and renamed the Clinical Data Center.
