1. Symposium Theme: “AI Urban Governance and Smart Net Zero”
The Kaohsiung City Government is actively integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into urban governance to address key issues such as traffic, disaster response, energy, and the environment. The goal is to improve governance efficiency and urban resilience while promoting a smart transition to net-zero emissions. This initiative aligns with global carbon reduction trends and creates new opportunities for sustainable urban development and industrial transformation.

Kaohsiung City Open University, committed to lifelong learning, leverages information technology to overcome geographical and temporal barriers. By integrating rich educational resources in humanities, technology, industry, tourism, environment, economy, and law, the university provides adult learners with a high-quality learning environment.

This symposium invites experts and scholars in related fields to submit papers aligned with the theme or relevant to urban studies. 8. Submission Guidelines:

  • (1) Abstract Length: 500–1,000 words, covering research problem, objectives, methodology, and results.
    Full paper word count: 8,000–15,000 words, formatted in APA style. Use “DFKai-SB” for Chinese text and “Times New Roman” for English. Please refer to the provided format template.

  • (2) All submitted papers will undergo review and discussion by invited experts. Accepted papers will be compiled and officially published in the symposium proceedings.
