| Planning a clinical research project requires expertise from multi-disciplines. Each discipline provides input that is essential to the research. Statistics is one of the disciplines that is critical to the planning, execution, analyses, and conclusion of the research. This workshop will discuss statistical-related elements in clinical research and the balance of science and medical ethics. Subject disposition, analysis datasets, efficacy endpoint(s), safety endpoints, subgroup analyses, missing data, sensitivity analyses and other special topics in statistical analyses will be covered. The medical ethics in conducting clinical research in human and the need for IRB to protect participants will be briefly discussed. |
