Health and Clinical Research Data Center
The Center aims to combine clinical data and large government database. Through data integration and appropriate analysis, value can be effectively added to the health database to help clinical medical staff in TMU publish high-quality papers, and translate research results into improvements in medical quality and health policy planning, thereby fully realizing the role of TMU in academic and social contributions.
In March 2013, TMU and the Ministry of Health and Welfare jointly established the Collaborative Center of Health Information Application (CCHIA). In 2015, it was renamed the Health and Welfare Data Science Center (HWDC) TMU Center to provide a site for TMU's teachers and students to analyze the health insurance database. In 2016, a remote virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) was constructed to connect with the Ministry of Health and Welfare. This allows the synchronized use of health and welfare data of the whole population, thereby expanding the teaching, research and service capabilities of the HWDC TMU Center and providing TMU's teachers and students with the advantages of cloud services and increasing their research capabilities.
